Lumo works with the built-in Liquid Retina XDR display of a 14-inch or 16-inch MacBook Pro (2021 or later). It does not work on other Macs or on external displays.
Set the macOS brightness slider to maximum, then open Lumo from the menu bar. Make sure Full Brightness is ticked and Boost Amount is 100%. If Only When Charging is on, Lumo boosts only while the charger is connected.
Yes. A brighter screen uses more power and can make your Mac warmer. macOS may lower the brightness on its own if your Mac gets hot. Turn on Only When Charging to boost only while you're plugged in.
Click the sun in the menu bar and untick Full Brightness, or choose Quit. Your display returns to normal.
Lumo is free for 7 days, then a one-time purchase unlocks it. Purchases are handled by Apple. To restore a purchase, choose Restore Purchase in the Lumo menu. For refunds, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
